SAND *** Structural ANalysis and Design ***

SAND is an integrated system for the analysis, design and detailing of steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber structures.

The four main programs of SAND are:

• NL-STRESS (Non Linear STRESS), which is used for structural analysis.
• SCALE (Structural CALculations Ensemble), which is used to produce structural design calculations complying with current British Standards.
• LUCID which is used to produce reinforced concrete details
• SPADE which is used to produce steelwork, masonry and timber details.

SAND also includes:

• numerous pre and post-processors for NL-STRESS including vehicle loads, guyed masts and wave forces
• TAPE a drawing utility for producing new drawings or editing NL-STRESS, LUCID or SPADE drawings or converting them to DXF format
• a simple storage and retrieval system.
